About Stephen

My name is Stephen Tarnowski, and I currently live in the heart of the Four Corners in Cortez, Colorado with my wife Emilee and our dog Violet. I love nature and the outdoors, story-telling, and sharing and spreading the joy one can find in something as simple as a singing robin. I intend to share some of my stories and pictures here on this website.

I got into photography taking mostly landscape pictures with an Olympus EM-5 body that was ultimately turned into a paperweight in Southeast Utah when it was unfortunately mixed in with a mountain of cams and other gear in my climbing pack. I still shoot my pictures with Olympus (now OM-Systems) cameras because I value the portability and love the image quality paired with the relative affordability of their cameras and lenses.

When I’m not out looking at birds or taking pictures, you may find me moonlighting as a local government attorney.
